Happy New Year!

Can you believe it we now have to write 2019 on everything (make sure you have your eraser handy for the first months because I know I keep writing that 8!) 

Last year we had an exciting year from launching our website, sending out our first few issues of Talking Pork to a successful Foodservice Symposium. Now that we have all the foundations laid down we are ready to build on it. Get ready for a year of more exciting Pork events and projects!

Pork Dumplings at Urbanest

Urbanest specialise in developing and operating purpose-built student accommodation that provides so much more than a place to stay.

Recipe Inspiration

Pork Chow Fun Noodles
  • 700g pork scotch steaks, thinly sliced
  • 500g fresh wide rice noodles (alternatively use 200g dried rice stick noodles)
  • 2-3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 long red chilli, deseeded and thinly sliced
  • 4 green onions (shallots), trimmed and sliced into 2cm pieces
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 bunch choy sum, cut into 5cm pieces
  • Sliced red chilli and sesame seeds, to serve
Marinade & cooking sauce 
  • Marinade & cooking sauce
  • ¼ cup salt reduced soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
